Book Review #22: Beautiful Broken Things by Sara Barnard

25437747Hello liars,

I am on a roll with these book reviews. For like 4 Saturdays in a row there will be a book review so be excited. As always, I finished the book couple days ago and I am now going to do the book review. This Saturdays book review is Beautiful Broken Things, it is one of Zoella WHSmith book club picks, not one of the new ones though the first book club picks.

This book is about female friendships and how complex they are. Personally, think my generation should read this book because it shows how bad influences can ruin your life. The reality of a broken family. Private School vs public school. Maybe this was not the intentions of the author but it shows how someone people are insured and how they cover it up.

The book is set in Brighton in the UK. As you all know I am based in the UK which is great because it is one of the first books that I have read that are not set in America. Not that I am saying there is anything wrong but we need more YA books based in the UK.

Beautiful broken things are written in the first person. You see the story from the viewpoint of Caddy. The story is gripping from the first page which is good because it gets you hooked from the start.I would not recommend this book if you were trying to get out of a reading slump because there are an awful lot of words on each page. But it is a simple read so you do not have to think of what your read.Basically, there are no complicated words in the book.

I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to anyone.
